Palm Coast, one of the fatest growth communities in the US, will see much longed for additions and enhancements to the community over the next year.
- Fall of 2007 we are scheduled to see the Grand Opening of The Cobblestone Village on the southwest corner of I-95 and Palm Coast Parkway. This outdoor shopping center will be hosted by Lowes and Belk's as the two anchor stores. The center will also have a variety and other speciality shopping and restaurants.
- At the April Grand-Opening of the renovated Pine Lakes Country Club, LandMar eluded to a grand-opening of a renovated Matanzas Woods Golf Course to happen in late Fall 2007. Matanzas Woods has been closed at this point and renovations are in the early stages. This final course will complete what LandMar has renamed, The Grand Club which includes: Cypress Course, Pine Course, and the Matanzas Course. Although nothing has been said publicly at this point, resident golf enthusiasts are hoping the golf-legend Arnold Palmer will make another appearance in Palm Coast.
- Spring of 2008 is a tentative opening of the Town Center's next phase adding a Super Target. The rest of the Town Center project is several years out with some great plans for the future.
All of these projects are much welcomed in the community and will "round off" the significant residential growth from the past several years. Although Palm Coast has great specialty shops which have opened over the years, major shopping has been a 20-50 mile trip either to St. Augustine or Daytona. So the community has been very excited over news of these plans. As for the golf side of things, these imporvements to these courses are simply enhancements to already great golf. The Matanzas Course is one of the favorites of residents and visitors due to the challenge of the course and the beautiful scenery.
