Blog; the mere word I would have never been able to tell you what it meant just a few years ago. By accident I stumbled upon an article in a NAR publication about the impact of social networking. Something clicked that day, and clicked in a big way. Prior to this I was your type of Waukesha County real estate agent that thought he was pro-active. Pro-active being set by a standard of opening my check book to enormous amounts of expenses to keep my website moving along, and letting people tell me it was all under control. It did not take long to realize that pro-active became synonymous with taking the bull by the horns and aiming and setting my goals in a linear fashion that would take me, my clients, and my business into a whole new direction in a light year fashion; make that warp drive fashion. My grandmother was always reminding me by saying "Tombo people can make their own misery, or they can make their own destiny". She also reminded me "to be careful of what I put out there in life because it just may come back to help me one day."It really hit home one day when I received an email from a man that had read one of my first posts I did on an American classic; that being Harley Davidson. It did not dawn on me right away that the post was "old" but more importantly the man that contacted me was one of the head guys from Harley. This was before I learned that I even had such a tool as a spell checker. Harley Davidson motorcycles: A Milwaukee product, and a World class product! Well, it turned out this the guy! It took me awhile when I received a call from a man from reading one of my posts that said he wanted to look at Waukesha County Lake homes . I thought how nice; when I asked his wife why they wanted a million dollars home for a summer place, and I needed to qualify them to make sure they could afford it his charming wife said that her husband worked for Miller brewery in Milwaukee. She said that before that he was head of "Big time soda cpmany in Atlanta" North America. These people were the greatest, and I mean some of the greatest people I have ever met. Down to Earth; and I hope his new adventure of heading up South African breweries in Bogota, Columbia is very well.  You, I will never forget in the lesson of blogging, and it's effectiveness. It really hit home when I thought I had arrived and when I learned I could connect all these dots with linking my blog everywhere, and becoming part of social networks I never knew existed. I still pride myself on keeping my same recommendations from people I had started with on ActiveRain. We can really hold the world in the palm of our hands if we want.

A good example would be looking at  I manage my existing relationships well by networking with Facebook, and many other social sites that lots of my clients follow us on. The funniest thing I have come to laugh at myself about is not how my name has been used in my existing relationships in Waukesha County real estate, but the larger question would be : Are you friends with my dog Lars? My dog has small cities of people following him, and I am the first to step up to the plate and say "Good boy Lars!" I can take my blog and use it to promote ares, markets in areas, finding a waukesha county real estate agent, or even finding a Waukesha County agent. To find my post is to find my business, my contacts, and more important has allowed me to connect my listings, my business, my clients, and just as important allow a vehicle for myfuture clients to follow to get to know how hard I will work for them. I can always generate interest by letting people know what is selling in Waukesha County Hey Tom Braatz, What went on in The Waukesha County Real estate market in the last week?  . When they needed help at finding a Waukesha County Real estate agent they could read Finding a Waukesha County Real Estate agent in the Waukesha County real estate market just got a lot easier. People now know that it is not my face that is what people recognize in Waukesha County homes sold but more importantly my branding with my buddy  My Best Business Branding Ever: The Notorious Happy Go Lucky Lars. Blogging allowed the public to know I was proud to be a past Wisconsin farmer, a Wisconsin bee keeper, and a parent that is very proud of the light of his life, my son and friend Spencer.farming: I only pray the fields would be as dry and productive as when Lars,Spencer, and I took this picture You see, it is not so much the cultivating I do with my existing clients that I thank God for every day, but it is the sense I have learned from blogging and ActiveRain that allows me to plant the seed to be sowed down the road with my new clients that I will meet and one day be able to say "See you at closing."
