We Miss Our Little Kittens

Lucky and Bob-O

While going through some pictures looking for our son’s old Halloween costumes we found these photos of our little kittens. Brandon had always wanted a cat so when we moved to Murphy, North Carolina and got settled in, we set out to pick him out a little kitten. The couple we got the kitten from said “Oh, please take his little brother too,” and who could resist. So home we went with Tigger and his little brother, Eore – who of course was the sister – not the brother. So here we have Lucky and Bob-O. Aren’t they just so cute?

One of my previous kitties "Izzy" stayed small her entire life.  We used to laugh about having her cloned to start a breed of minature cats.  Now my two old rescues Jasper 13 and Shy 15 spend most of their days curled up on a pillow or in a basket though they can be roused with a quick snif of catnip.

I've got 4 feral kitties outside and they are so cute. I need to catch them and get them fixed but that is not easy. Nothing cuter than a little kitty, and that and a darling child... WOW! My feral kitties.

Hi Leslie - There's nothing cuter than kittens. We really need to get another kitten for our Ollie "Psycho Kitty" to have a playmate.

Hi Cindy - Ah, nothing like a little catnip to make you feel young again :)

Hi Susie - No, it's not easy to catch them - I've tried before too with some around our office. Yours are so cute and they all seems to take care of each other. Nice photos Susie.

Those kittens look so sweet!  I love cats.  When our girls were little we had one that was jet black and another one that was a silver persian at the same time.  Just watching them play with each other was great entertainment.

Hi Jane - When we got Ollie we really wanted a gray kitty, like the mom - not a black one, but he was what was left so we took him, and he's so much fun and entertaining.

Hi Lee & Carol:

CUTE - CUTE - CUTE!!!!

For sure the Calico is a girl...

I think it's 99.99% of Calicos are female.

They are so adorable!  I don't think I would have been able to resist taking both of them myself!  And your sons seemed to have loved them bunches!

Hi Jim & Maria - Yes, they are so cute! These are my nephews and I think it was the first time they'd ever held a kitten before - they love them and always came over to play with them.

Hi Toula - If only the brother sister had been a calico I would have known :) Your little ones are adorable and I still think about the video you posted of them.

Hi Diane - Keith, the boy on the left just turned 18 yesterday. Just like kittens, they all grow up too fast.

Happy 1st of November to you all!

The kittens and the kids are adorable, Lee and Carol.  We're dog people in my family.  My husband always insists on having them in pairs so they don't feel lonely.  Our most recent family member, Angel, doesn't have a companion yet, though.  That's the first time for us.

Our litte Cucu is growing so quickly.  We brought her home from a vacant house that I had listed.  Someone had dumped her out.. no water, no food and so tiny... that was back in July.

I've called the vet so we can get her spayed... has to be 6 months old to do that.. I'm guessing around December 1.    She's the sweetest cutest thing.

Aren't kitties the calmest animals that were ever created?

Georgina - That's a hard one :) They are both full of energy and joy.

Judi - They do grow up so quickly. How wonderful that you were there to rescue CuCu.

Don't you think the purring of a cat is so calming?

Lee & Carol--Reading your post reminds me of my daughter's cat, Fluffy, who lived to 17.  She has her own family and will always have a cat or two. Today my pets are the birds & squirrels I feed each day.  The picture with Halloween costumes was cute, too.  Thanks for sharing.  Mary
