Let me make this perfectly clear, this idiotic idea to re-write the Bible so that it better suits Conservative idelology is not indicative of how all Conservatives think, however, somewhere before taking a "wrong turn at Albuquerque"  (Thanks Bugs Bunny) the Republican Party has clearly been hijacked by Far Right Religious Neocons that are determined to eliminate any Biblical reference of love and compassion that was taught by Jesus Christ that does not fit their political agenda.

The Party that has embarrassed America by embracing the "Birthers" movement, supported crazies that carry guns to Presidential rallies (What's next carrying guns to parks and recreational centers?) turned a blind eye to Far Right wackos who believe that President Obama is actually a Muslim "Manchurian Candidate" who happens to also be the Anti-Christ, now gives us "Jesus Christ the Left Wing Hippie".  America and the world can only wait and see what will be edited from the most read book in the world.  Will it be the verse that reads "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God", or will it be the passage that states "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God".  I'm not sure but don't these Bible verses contradict "today's" Conservative ideology?

Yeah I did a blog about that a month or so ago.  THEY will do anything to promote their agenda, even alter the teachings of their god.

Terry,

Yes I recall it was your Post about this....

It is deafening how the " Christians" are not appalled by this...

My Bible reads that anyone who changes one dot or tittle will have their place in the lake of Fire...

For 30 years now I have read ONLY the King James Version .... I Have NEVER believed modern man should have rewrote God's WORD simply to entice those with itching ears to read it...

it is a Sacred Book and should remain as such.......

But then i have met and witnessed thousands of Christians reading the Bible with scissors in hand cutting out what they don't like so this is nothing new........

Anybody who would rewrite The Bible, would have no qualms whatsoever about rewriting The Constitution.

Israel,

Thank you for commenting on my post....

Seems  too many are busy re-writing things that were better left as they were........

The last administration may not have rewrote the constitution but they certainly did ignore it.....

as for the Bible...in the end...what difference does it make I have not seen one person on AR claiming to be a "Christian" in the political groups behave as Jesus in the Bible instructs us to....so obviously it matters very little what it says one way or another.........

I can feel the heat on this blog post.  I need to get the facts on what was rewritten.

LM, what a great post! You'll surely catch heat from the flat earthers on this one! Will insert my opinion when I get back.

They already interpret the way they want to, why would they need to rewrite it?

Good point Nogui,

I have yet to meet a Christian who doesn't  debate scripture as to the  way it was originally intended..

and even if it were never changed I have yet to hear of any Christian who lived accordingly...

Even the great Billy Grahm adits he is not without sin.....,

what is sad is that after reading some of the posts and comments here on AR by members claiming to be righteous Christians i have thought "if that is what a Christian is ,i don't want to be one"

I will just continue to believe Jesus is my personal savior and the son of God...

Beyond that I'll leave it to up  God and His Judgment Day.............
