Garden May 1 039

We love Mexican Food in Houston and Syd Kearney has compiled a list of some of the best here.  Tex-Mex is different than Mexican food in other states.  I think we have some of the best.  The problem is we have so many to choose from.  They all have a different flavor, so it's really what type of taste you like best when deciding what your favorite is.

1. Original Ninfa's on Navigation
2. Spanish Village
3. The Original Mexican Cafe
4. Irma's
5. Teotihuacan
6. Taquerias Arandas
7. Chuy's Comida Deluxe
8. Goode Company Hamburgers & Taqueria
9. Tacos A Go-Go
10. Mom Alone Mexican Grill
11. Don'Key Mexican Food
12. El Tiempo
13. Cafe Adobe
14. Tony's Mexican Restaurant
15. Veracruz Mexican Restaurant
16. El Pueblito Place
17. Romero's Las Brazas
18. Cadillac Bar
19. Benny's Mexican Cafe & Bar
20. Fonda Dona Maria
21. Taqueria Cancun
22. Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen
23. Mambo Parilla
24. Santa Fe Flats New Mex Grille
25. Ruchi's
26. Chiloso's Taco House
27. Alicia's Mexican Grille
28. Santos, the Taste of Mexico
29. Don Teo's

These are also delicious but weren't on the list.  I would love to be a food critic and try every Mexican Restaurant in Texas!!

Have any to add?

Each time I visit our son in Houston we head to Lupe Tortilla.. YUM!  I actually believe I resided in

Mexico in a prior life. It is the best food on earth.  :O)

I've never been to Houston, but I have definitely had my fair share of Tex-Mex in San Antonio and Dallas. Will have to meander over that way, just not during the summer months.

Trey-Lupe Tortilla's is one of my faves.  I could eat Mexican Food everyday!

Howdy there Cindy

Theres only one South of the Border style restaurant, up in this area. The food there is mighty good. But I sure do miss the ones back home, and down in Texas.

Texas really spoils you with great Tex-Mex. I hope you are able to try dishes from all the restaurants on the list!

Dale-I've eaten Mexican food all over the country, and occasionally will find some good ones outside of Texas and our border states.

Amy-It sure does, I would love to try every restaurant on the list, but I would have to be rolled out of the door if I did!
