Going, Going, but not quite gone...

The colors of autumn are quickly fading here in Middle Tennessee. The once vibrant reds, greens, oranges and blues are quickly waning as the leaves are falling as quickly as the rain drops that stream down my window pane.

Soon to be gone, but not forgotten, are the colors of this brief fall season. Colors that graced us with all the grace, beauty and pageantry of any fall fashion show ☺☺☺

Michael, Out here in the Pocono Mountains the leaves are already gone. Old Man Winter had his foot on the door just waiting to kick it in!

Michael I live a little further north of you in Southern Indiana and I think last weekend was our peak weekend for the beautiful fall colors of the trees.  That's a very nice shot you have shared with us.  Thanks.

I remember raking bags and bags of leaves. We even had a Toro leaf bagger! But all of that is worth the beauty you have shown us in that picture! It is also fun to rake them up and jump in the piles! Happy Halloween- Michael

GOOD MORNING MICHAEL!  We just don't see these colors here in Arizona - they are beautiful - and the color of the sky is a nice turquoise color!  Great photo! -- Gabrielle

Michael, we are probably a day or so ahead of you here. It's time to get that rake out. Nice Photo!

We still have many leaves on the trees in Toronto but it will soon be over.  Leaf raking and bagging season has already commenced.

Gabrielle, It is interesting how the sky turned out that color against the colors of the trees.

Gorgeous picture.  I am from Ohio and one of the things I miss most here in Arizona is the changing of the leaves!  I can drive up North to enjoy but certainly nothing like that.  Thanks for sharing!

Michael---I had to switch to color for this response.  Great style of writing and presenting your ideas.  Fall is my favorite season even though it precedes my least favorite.  Thanks for sharing your 'neck of the woods.'

As I drove from Clarksville north into Guthrie, KY and back to Springfield, Greenbriar, Nashville, Ashland City and back to Clarksville, I noticed leaves just blowing off the trees. Soon they will be bare until Spring.
