Localism is for talking to the general public.  You post the content on ActiveRain just like any other post but as long as you are a Rainmaker you can talk directly to the general public on Localism and / or an Outside blog.  Google eats Localism posts up like fun sized Snickers bars... I had about 5 for breakfast this morning, fun sized Snickers bars.

*Localism posts I usually turn off the comments initially as I don't appreciate the ActiveRain  "great post thanks for sharing" type commments.

I like Halloween, can you tell?

I sure can tell.  I like Halloween as well, though I could deal without the candy.  However, I love the fact that Google eats up Localism posts.  I need to do more of those.

Ghost stories & haunted houses especially intrigue me.  I've already watched a Stephen King Bio, Dawn of the Dead, & The Shining to help celebrate the day:)

Melissa Don't bother reading them , most are written  to locals and will be pretty boring, just believe in the power of Localism to bring traffic in.  I have an old, old (non AR ) blog started in 2005 that gets huge traffic and it is all direct from Google (actually Google and Yahoo.) One Halloween post there had over 400 pageviews  Thursday which was 'Trick or Treat' for the City of Columbus and most of our suburbs.

I don't think there is another holiday that can get the local traffic to a real estate blog the way Halloween does.  Christmas and 4th of July are good...

Jason I think we should have just dumped the candy in the bag of the last Trick or Treater on Thursday night. Really I ate Snickers bars this morning while I was making the coffee.   Happy Halloween.
