This quote is very true. Nothing seems to make headlines any more unless it is corruption, death, destruction and mayhem. Especially celebreties misbehaving. I am really tired of reading and hearing about Jon and Kate.

But the media only covers these things because they are what get's ratings.

Unfortunately it does seem that "good" people rarely make for good TV! But I will take good over the other any day!

Good people don't want to make headlines and thus their reputation on a less public, more personal level preceeds them!

Interesting thought for the day, Ann. We can do our part and not watch those programs that contribute to the ratings driven material that is shown on TV or at the movies.

Good women in the Bible are celebrated....... a whole chapter in the Bible talks about the virtuous woman and what her qualities are........... Israel even had a woman (among many) who was a Prophet (Deborah).

I agree... the media only reports things that are sensational or off the wall..... and they THINK GOOD women are not..... they think the other stuff is good for ratings..... =-P

IMO it is their LOSS..........
