The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay Started in Victoria Last Night Last Night Thousands of Victorians, News Reporters and Politicians... Lined the Streets in Victoriain Light Rain, to watch the Start of the Coast to Coast 45,000 Kilometer Trek across Canada. The final Stop will be Whistler BC February 12, 2010 for the Start of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Yesterday around 6 PM ....Many Re/Max Realtors, Staff and Family members from my Office at Re/Max Camosun, gathered to watch the Torch relay travel through the Oak Bay Village

That is awesome Fred! It was exciting being in Vancouver and realizing how close it is until the Olympic torches will be burning in Whistler..even though I am in BC I did not feel a big part of it until I was in the city and could see all and hear all the buzz....
Liz tipped me off to yur post. Thanks for link to Olymipic website. I listened to video about torch relay and I bookmarked it for future reference. In 1996 the torch came through Erie, PA in front of my friend's house. Next day it left with lots of fanfare from Perry Square so I got up early to see it off. Thanks. Mary
Hi Fred - I think I heard the route is 45,000 km long not 4,500 km. The torch is going to have a great scenic view of Canada based on the maps at the Olympic site you linked.
