I love the deep green folliage against the golden hills. California is so beautiful all the time, but I love the contrasts we get.

Hi Karen, glad you like. Notice the new grass shoots in the foreground? After one good soaking, the hills are ready to wear their winter green.

Hi Lottie ~ A long sigh came out of me when I saw your photo - it's just so peaceful and beautiful. Today was a blue sky day here so I convinced my dad to go on a photo jaunt with me. Took two and my battery went kaput. Finally got me to the store for a backup battery - never again! I feel compelled to get out with the camera every day the sky is blue and hate missing one.

San Mateo County, one of my favorite places in California! Nice weather - near San Francisco - near the wine country. . .What's not to love:-)

Myrl, glad you like the pic--and San Mateo County. Our Open Space District has added such a benefit to our area by protecting lands--it adds tremendous value to our lifestyle here. Thanks, too, for welcoming me to your PHOTOS group. I'll learn a ton of stuff there.

Hi Steve -- glad you enjoyed the snap shot. These little cameras built into our Smart Phones are getting better and better, aren't they? I loved the new green grass peeking up through last year's dried grasses--amazing what only one good rain does.
