One of the most appreciated services offered by buyer agents is helping buyers find the source of the down payment to buy their new home, especially when they thought they couldn t afford it. Below, you will find a partial list of some potential sources for a down payment.
  1. Equity in your current home
  2. Cash value life insurance
  3. Gift from relatives
  4. Equity in a car or other asset
  5. Year-end bonus
  6. Currently in the Phoenix area, Builder Incentives often cover down payment and monthly payments for up to the first 12 months!

There are other sources besides the ones listed. If you are unsure about the practicality of any of these, please consult your financial planner or tax advisor.

Builder incentives are still going as strong, if not stronger, in a desperate effort by the builders to get homes off their books by 12/31/06.
