My hubby and I took this picture on one of our weekend walks in gorgeous Waukesha County.  We thought it looked like 2 different trees in one...maybe cross pollinated?

Wow, that's certainly different. That is by far one of the most awesome growth formation I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing it with us.

That would be a great tree to have in your yard if you were a youngster.

Hey, Kristing. We have some funky trees in our yard that were damaged after Hurricane Hugo (1989). I know that I love every last one. Thanks and take care, Jim

That is a very different looking tree, what do you think it is?  I have no clue.

What an interesting looking tree, it almost looks like it is going to fall over!

Looks like something out of a Guillermo Del Toro movie. Thanks for the pic.

I have no idea...I think it might be a combination of something...the bark(s) are so different

What an odd looking tree.  It would be fitting in the old TV show "The Adams Family".  Da Dun Da Dun Da Dun Da!!!!(you are not old enough to have seen that TV series, Kristen)

Kristin, I had a second thought about your cross pollination theory, concerning the odd appearnace of the tree.

That must have been one, huge BEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the 2 trees, but to me it looks like someone having a bad hair day, bowing to greet you. But then, I am a right brained right hander...

Michael, interesting....I don't see that exactly, but I love it!

7:54am • #31

That is really a weird looking tree, Kristin.  It does look like it could be two different tree types with the different types of bark.  You need to relax a little more there girl when you go walking!  You are supposed to enjoy the walk and not analyze everything! :-))

Hi Kristin,

I have to agree with Michael it does look like the tree is bowing in greeting to your presence in the forest.
