I've heard many comments from some of the nicest Christian friends I have. I don't do this or, that to be blessed, but I still don't understand why I have to go through this "trial"...

On this Sunday God First post, I want to take time to ponder how much we know all that are commented are so true. But how would we know that we are not already blessed to be where we are at???

Maybe it's a job loss, or a pending foreclosure or short sale... Maybe someone in the family is just diagnosed with a terminal disease... Maybe we are going through some relational strain with our spouse.

I just want to say, Maybe we are already blessed where we are at by not being in a worst position. After all, we wouldn't have known. We could be in one place at one time. Whatever it is, take the month of November to be thankful for what we have, be grateful for what's to come.

Scripture of the Week:

1 Corinthians 2:9

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him

Loreena

Our trials will make us stronger person if we except our challenges and find a way to work through them.

Good luck and success.

I too sometimes wonder why.  My wife is one of the sweetest people around but she suffers sometimes so much with health problems.  I wish they would go away for here.

Hi Loreena... remembering to be thankful is something that many people struggle with every day.  In November, it almost seems easier to remember.  Your post is a wonderful reminder that we should always appreciate the positive aspects of our lives.

Hi Loreena,

nice comments,

Sometimes it is too easy for us to feel sorry for ourselves.  But when I take the time to look around me, I can usually find someone who is in a much worse situation than I am, and it reminds me of how much I have to be thankful for.  God has truly blessed me!

Hi Loreena-  I know that in darkest trials, it is worse for someone else. God is always with us and I thank Him every days for all of the ways in which I'm blessed - not necessarily in the ways that othersmay WISH that they were blessed.  I love what I have, and it's ALL a GREAT GIFT.  --Sara

What an encouraging scripture.  Being satisfied with what we do have and where we are at is such a good reminder!

Loreena,

No doubt it is hard to find the good at times of suffering, but it does make us to be stronger and more caring people.  That is a blessing in itself.  In every one's life there are times of joy and difficulty, but we must learn to be content in all things....to do so is a blessing as well...

Being satisfied EXACTLY where you are at is a tough one Loreena, but we never see the big picture as God sees it so we may as well be happy right in the here and now.

Loreena,

I remember in college I had a wall-hanging that said "Count your blessings, not your troubles."  I remember like it was yesterday, my roommates mom sent me a letter of encouragement that said, "Sonja, our troubles ARE our blessings."  I never will forget that. EVERYTHING works together for OUR GOOD and HIS GLORY!  What a wonderful thought! No pain wasted!! :)  I appreciate your GOD focus and I know you are having an impact with your blogs!!  Way to go!!

Thanks Loreena. If we take the time to think about how much worse certain things could be...It's not about what we think we should go through or to. It's about what HE has in plan for us. Be greatful and thankful for it all... Take Care :)
