NPR White House vs. Fox News Poll

This email appeared in my inbox after being forwarded at least 4 times.

"Fox News is losing in a National Public Radio Poll, but with the power of the Internet we can turn that around in a few hours.

If you haven't heard this, the White House is accusing Fox News of not being a legitimate source of news, calling them biased, etc. They have tried to block Fox reporters from news conferences, etc.., NPR has put a survey online for us to voice our opinion.  Currently it is 59% in favor of the White House, because mainly liberals log on to the NPR website.

If Fox loses this poll you can bet Obama will mention it as support for his attack on Fox.

Let's show them how we feel about honest conservative news reporting.

To vote log onto:

Then ... forward this to everyone!"

After I voted, these poll results appeared:

Fox News on this one; it asks questions others don't and the White House should be able to handle them.
80% (877,641 votes)

I believe we ARE the silent majority.

And this is really funny - once they saw that they had not got the result they were looking for they posted the following. I almost spat out my coffee when I read it!!

Update at 7 a.m., Oct. 31: I would like to say thanks to all those who were inspired to vote. As Raw Story explains, the poll touched off a competition. That's a good thing, in my opinion. These kinds of surveys aren't meant to be scientific. They're intended to stimulate discussion and give folks another way to express themselves. We certainly accomplished that.

Free speech is important.  I'm not really surprised that THIS white house staff is trying to discredit it!
