A Sunday Drive in Southern Oregon (3 of 3)

After we have finished exploring Sunny Valley and the ghost town of Golden Oregon with the hydraulic mining sights across the road, we head to Historic Wolf Creek Inn to have dinner. In spite of the Rogue Valley population being well over 200,000 people now, we manage to bump in to two people we know having dinner with their families at the Wolf Creek Inn. After a delicious dinner of "Steak for 2" and Crab and Avocado Louie, we meet up with one group of friends and tag along for a tour of the Wolf Creek Inn, learning about the days the Inn was established as the overnight stop for the Portland to San Francisco Stage Coach run, housing notables such as Clark Gable and Robert Redford, while hearing tales of paramormal activities - appropriate for All Saints Day, don't you think?

Karen, these are beautiful photos! We have been to Northern Oregon which is also very beautiful, but Southern Oregon is also beautiful! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Donne - Thank you! The full moon was rising over the trees by that bridge, but try as I might, I just didn't know how to change the settings on the camera to capture it!

Tony & Darcy - Northern Oregon sure gets lots of rain, much more than we get here in Southern Oreogn. Our forests still give us lots of green to see, though. Thanks for stpping by.

Karen, Thanks for sharing your photos with us. We've been up to Wolf Creek several times since moving here last year, but we keep picking days Wolf Creek Tavern is closed. We'll definitely try again soon!

Gary - I think you'll enjoy the new managers. They are friendly and helpful, and enjoyed showing the Inn off on the tour they gave us. They had a great Sunday dinner special for their "early birds" and after 7 seating. Definitely worthy of a visit.
