I read about a real estate firm that sells new homes. They have them staged and sell them faster. The new twist, however, is that if the new buyer has a home to sell before they can buy, the agent of the new home will pay to have their home staged with the company they use! This helps them move people into their new homes faster. I like the idea. What do you think stagers and agents?

Sounds like a neat idea.  Staging seems to help homes sell faster so it is a win-win situation.

Staging does make homes show a lot better and for the most part sell faster so I cant see why this would be a bad idea!

Great idea! Clever thinking helping homeowners sell their homes faster so they can move into the "new" home.

That is a fabulous idea. Thinking out of the box in this tough market separates agents from the crowd.

Toll Brothers is the real estate company. M&K is the staging company. This is happening in Orlando. Click here to see the press release.

I heard about another builder doing this.  Sounds like something we should be promoting!

Is the agent paying for this or the builder???  For myself, I wouldn't necessarily offer this, since there are so many factors in whether a house will sell or not.  (if it's overprice, in bad shape, etc).  There was recently another blog on whether stagers should be paid at closing...to me this along the same lines.
