Steve Hoffacker's Motivational Monday Photos + Inspiration

The journey to the top of the mountain begins from where we are. Sometimes the path is well-marked at the beginning. Sometimes it is less clear and we have to forge our own way.

Steve

I fully agree with you we have to start were we are.

Good luck and success.

Lou,

We don't have a choice but start where we are. Where we go is our choice, however. :)

Steve.. This might sound strange, but at first glance this picture reminded me of one of the opening shots of M.A.S.H. (the sitcom back in the 70's/80's).  Look at it again.. does it for you too?

Kathleen,

Thanks. Journeys have all kinds of interesting, unforeseen tests and developments that make them challenging and rewarding. :)

Steve:  Very desolate.  Reminds me of the Brady Bunch episode where they got jailed up in the dessert.

Chris Ann,

Rugged maybe more than desolate, but I understand what you mean. :)

The journey looks a little tough, but worth every step to get to the top for that fabulous view.

Lee and Carol,

This is a rough journey, steep in spots, and plenty of switchbacks. :)

Great illustration to a wonderful post!  I have been on many trails, literally and figuratively just like that!

Steve,

I am down at the bottom here and that climb looks pretty long.

Steve - The beauty of a path like the one pictured is there is very little in the way of distraction.  Forging a journey through allows your mind stuff to clear so new and creative ideas can arrive and flow.

When I cannot readily find answers to questions, I love a path like this because it allows the answers to find me

You have a great thought to go with a great picture, Steve.  The good thing about this type of journey is that we can measure our progress in terms of how far we are traveled and how close we are to achieving the objective.  Some treks don't give us that type of vision to see what we are achieving.

Myrl,

On a trail such as this I agree. The trail also symbolizes our daily journey. :)
