Leesburg is one of the oldest towns in Northern Virginia dating back to the mid 1700s when it was the county seat of Loudoun County and still is. Leesburg was a major location for battles in the War of 1812 where vital documents including the Declaration of Independence and others were brought to Leesburg for safekeeping. The spirit of the 1700-1800s is reflected in the town of Leesburg, a wonderful area to tour, shop for antiques or have a delightful lunch. During the Civil War, many homes and shops in Leesburg served as hospitals and military outposts.

Lenn - I love historic areas and really enjoyed the video on the homes in Leesburg. I never knew it was where such important documents were held for safekeeping.

Lenn, I'm excited to see this video, but it gets as far as 65k of 85k and freezes for me. (3 tries) 'Guess I'll have to come back later or tomorrow.

Donna. Thanks. Leesburg is a charming old town. I love it. It's 25 minutes from my home and I get there 4 times a week for the gym.

Margaret. Can't control the editing for these things on ActiveRain. Once I upload, the editing function disappears. It's showing through on my computer though. No idea. Thanks for letting me know. I'll look into it today.

Susan. Indeed. These old treasures are all around. Only in the northeast and mideast of the country can this history be found.

Kathryn. Dang! I thought it would be O.K. It's fine on my computer. I'll look into it.

Don't know what's happening on your RE Show this morning, but on my 'puter' it's not loading. Hangs up at the end trying to load the music.

I love Leesburg VA. I was there a few months back and cannot believe how much it has grown since the 1980's..yet it still has that historic feel to it. I like the presentation. I made a few of these for the Atlanta area via Visual Tours, but I have yet to delve into the video aspect of it. That is next.

I'd love to visit Virginia and see all the historic sites and housing. It would be a treat to live there.

Lenn, it may be the larger RE shows file problem. I looked at some of my old RE Shows posts and they seem to be working. Try a 9 image show, maybe it will help.

Gabe. I'll try that. Thanks. I was out all day yesterday, but I'll call Jeff later today. He's always helpful.

However, the post works fine on my computer. I had no idea that it was problimatic until comments herein.

Lenn - I had the same problem when I tried to view the video in Firefox. If I go to IE I have no problems.
