HINT:  Two things are potentially wrong.  And, the house is about 75 years old

ANSWER:  Sure, the electrical box should have a cover.  But what is that white stuff in the back ground?  Could it be asbestos?  Only a test will tell for sure.

Thank you,

Richard Acree

Richard, I'm looking for an inspector that has structural experience for a home I sold in Franklin.  Can you recommend anyone?

I would not know what asbestos looked like... I do know it is a pain in the rump to get rid of it.

Hello Karen, Konnie and Tammie,

Thanks for commenting on my blog entry.  Karen, your right, there may also be some M... word issues here as well.  Konnie, old white tape is always suspicious as asbestos.  It is not such a big deal if it is not frayed.  If frayed, look out!  Tammie, I sent you a personal email regarding your question.

Thanks again!

Richard

Richard - That sure could be asbestos. It also looks like it is running through a air duct.
