New Watering Restrictions

 Beginning November 1, 2009 new watering restrictions took effect. Watering is only allowed before 10 AM or after 4 PM and when dayligh savings time ends watering is only allowed 1 day per week. Even number addresses may water only on Sunday and odd number addresses may water only on Saturday. These restrictions apply to much of east central Florida including Ormond Beach and all of Volusia County.  For more details about restrictions on watering visit the St. Johns River Water Management District web site http://sjrwmd.com/wateringrestrictions/

We haven't had watering restrictions in quite a while.......we've been getting plenty of rain.

Interesting as we are flooding here. But a couple of years ago we were talking about Atlanta running dry. Can you say aging infastructure!!!

We had lots of rain in May and several areas in the county were flooded but overall for the year we are still a couple inches below normal.  I am not sure the watering restrictions will ever be lifted, but they could get more strict.
