Shhh ... Don't Tell My Competitors ... How to Have a GREAT January! PART 4

Week 4: Give Thanks

This is the first week of November... so we'll start to think about THANKS

Write your Thanksgiving letter, to your past clients, current clients & SOI on Monday-Weds.

Spend the rest of the week mailing them (hand addressing labels if you can).

Your letter will be brief, light, and friendly. It will THANK the recipient for helping make 2009 a great year for you (I don't care what your numbers were, they were GREAT!).

Add a brief paragraph about your family, something you've accomplished this year, something personal!

PS-You will add a PS at the end, reminding them you are always THANKFUL for referrals.

Deadline to mail: November 14.

Another simple yet great way to garner business by utilizing the season to keep your name and what you do in front of folks. And making it personal is a warm reminder of the relationship (not just the transaction or potential thereof) involved.

This is a good idea and you MUST hand address them including your return address and put a NORMAL stamp on them.

If you can get REAL CARDS (light yellow, green, red envelopes etc...) write no more than 3 paragraphs (by the way paragraphs are short and to the point 3 sentences in our modern world).

Include a personal photo (family, kids, dog, trip, something funny) that will allow the personal connection to continue.
