Vote today!

Today is election day in America - go vote! Do we really need to discuss why, the relevance, the plain simplicity of being allowed to make our own choices in this great country?

I am sure there are some REALTORS that will bemoan the lack of choices, and complain how their vote probably doesn't count, but the truth is that most elections are local and many are passed, or not, by a very thin margin. Here in Schertz, TX we often see only 800-1000 voters turn out for local elections, and in many cases decisions are made by less than 20 votes! So your vote does count and it can make a huge difference.

I won't go into the details of the proposed changes to the Texas Constitution vote today, except to say that we really have some important issues that do affect our industry and we need support. And you don't have to vote the REALTOR party line, this is a free country and we allow you to vote in privacy and then tell us whatever you want.

Just go VOTE!

No ballot in my county.  But I was a very proud mama today when my 21 year old called to from college just to make sure there was nothing locally that she needed to drive home and vote for or against.

You are so right! Get out and vote. Your vote really does count. And if you want our voices heard you need to stand unified. Thanks for the post.

I just received this information from the Texas Association of Realtors Legislative Liaison. Just supports the fact that small numbers actually vote, so yours does count!

This is the early voting tally from the 15 most populated counties in Texas......
