Republican LogoIt is Election in only a few States and localities, but there is a possibility that the voters in Virginia, New York and New Jersey will take advantage of an opportunity to send a message to Washington and to the individual state capitols around the nation.

To borrow from the movie, Network, “We’re Mad as Hell and we’re not going to take it anymore !”

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele was perhaps a bit more eloquent – but conveyed the same thought:

(Election day) …It’s my favorite day because the Republican Party’s message, when properly articulated, affirms faith in the individual.  Americans are intelligent people who, when empowered to keep their own money and make their own choices, are best able to build a good life for themselves and their families.  Election Day is an opportunity for Americans to elevate more representatives to public office that believe and represent this core principle.

I worked 4 hours at our local precinct today.  Then figure 50% turn out even with Larry Sabato predicting double-digit lead for Repub top of the ticket.  He mentions McDonnell as 2012 VP candidate while the Dems have already thrown Creigh Deeds under the bus for not following their campaign game plan.

As we say in the South....Vote EARLY * Vote Often!!!  ACORN has nothing on us!!

Ted - That says it all in my opinion. House cleaning for sure, the liberals try to say its no big deal, but they will get the message loud and clear!

I was encouraged by LOADS of younger voters in a very rural, very WEALTHY district with loads of Range Rover libs....I think the "taxing the next generation" message is getting through!!!

Mike - I expect New Jersey to be close.  I think NY-23 and Virginia statehouse will be Republican.

ACORN could influence New Jersey but I am hoping that Republican voters are more energized than the Dems.

I will be watching the returns with interest.

Thanks, Wallace for your personal efforts -  nice shoe design.  Slippers on the ground for Conservatives?

Thanks to all for stopping by.

(by the way - I love the fox hunting pic)

NJ became closer because of the third party candidate.  I heard one report that Acorn had been called upon again to get voters out in NJ.  I also heard the Dems were throwing some quiet support to the third party candidate to deflect votes from the Republican.

Ted,

This weekend the Dems did a phonecall campaign backing the independant. They have admitted it. Also there has been a major increase in absentee ballots in the cities. Camden went fron 200 in 05 to 3000 this year because operatives have been going door to door. The crooks are going to try to steal the election. Christie will need to win by at least 4 points to come out  ahead in the voting, but I think he can, although I stil wish we would have elected Lonegan in the primary.

In NJ, the Democrat Party was running calling banks supporting the 3rd party candidate trying to pull votes away from Christie...  They knew people wouldn't vote for Corzine, but wanted to get votes away from Christie.

Transparency...

Even the NY 23 is a victory of sorts.  Where the party establishment selected a candidate with liberal credentials, the conservative base isn't having it.  Lets get back to the conservative principles.  If the voters want to elect a Democrat, then we need to work harder.  But we cannot support liberals even if they have an "R" after their name.

The Republicans in Congress that have voted as liberals, as well as the Democrats, need to pay attention to what they want to do in their next career.

And to Governor Charlie Crist in Florida who wants to be the next US Senator from my state - the footsteps you hear behind you are not just conservative candidate Marco Rubio - they are the conservative voters of the state.  And we believe that the position of US Senator from Florida needs to be filled by a strong conservative with a demonstrated conservative record.  Sorry Charlie.
