People love foreclosures. This is a known fact. They love them because they THINK they are getting a good deal. They love them because they THINK they are going to rehab them and sell them for a lot of $$$. They THINK they will have instance equity. Some will, some won't, oh well. I love selling them to the right people and if done correctly they can be a great investment.
All of these reasons have really increased the popularity of foreclosed properties. Some people are savvy enough to make money buying foreclosures, but some end up way over their heads. However I'm not here to talk about whether it's a good idea to buy one or not.
Certain realtors tend to be specialists in listing foreclosures. My one question is....why is it okay to only include one pictures of a foreclosure but not "acceptable" for other properties? I think there should always be enough pictures to accurately describe the property.
If I'm looking for these properties I'd like to see the copious amounts of mold in the basement, the animal stained carpets. I'd like pictures of the holes in the walls. I'd like to see the build up of smoke on the chandelier in the dining room. I don't want to spent time to drive out to a property and it end up being way worse than described. I know your job as a listing agent is to make the property look good but I'd like to see honest shots of what I'm going to be seeing.
If anyone has a reason why there is only one pic on most of the listings I'd love to hear it. Maybe its just my area?
