OK I've got mine...  and I have invitations.  Is there anyone with Real Living who wants to try Google Wave? Let me know and I will send you an invite.

Or are you with Real Living and have a Google Wave account?

It felt like Christmas morning the day I opened my Gmail and the Google Wave invite was there.... but I have done nothing with it.

Cheryl has done some great posts about Google Wave.

Cheryl wrote:

I think it would be fun to look at it from within Real Living.

Use the Email Me on ActiveRain  or my Real Living email if you want a Google Wave invite.

Via Cheryl Johnson, Bob Taylor Properties, Inc., Los Angeles, CA:

I received mine, I know Missy Caulk and Kevin and Monica Ray received theirs.  Anyone Else?

My Wave account does not yet have the function to invite others.  Google says this is the reason:

As soon as we're confident that the system can accept more users, we will add a wave to your account that allows you to nominate friends and colleagues for an account. Once you have the capability to invite people, the wave appear in your inbox.

Meanwhile, if you did get your Wave account, we can practice waving at each other.

I discovered you must add the individual to your contacts list before you can wave with them.

If your Google Wave account is set up, go to http://wave.google.com

Click on Manage Contacts, at the bottom of the left panel.

Click the + sign/add contact icon

Enter my name: Cheryl, and my gmail address: cheryljns @ gmail.com, click save.

Once I am entered as a contact, you can create a New Wave, and add me to that Wave.

Google Wave is kinda sorta a hybrid of email/instant messaging/twitter/group blogging.  I can see a lot of uses for it.

Gee, maybe I should create a Google Wave group here on AR.

Hi Maureen... All this technology is making my head hurt!  What question is Google Wave the answer to?

Steve... I think it is the answer to email until spammers learn how to do it there.  Stefan Swanepoel real estate trends guy mentioned it kind of in passing on Tomato Radio yesterday.  I think he was the  one who said email marketing is so difficult because of spam filter, spam filters are so tough  because there is so much spam.

As Cheryl says Google Wave is a "hybrid of email/instant messaging/twitter/group blogging.  I can see a lot of uses for it."

Other than the blogging it sounds like an award winning feature RL has had for years. Real Living has a Web 2.0 feature which we've had for years MyRealLiving which allows us to work with clients not through email. It is back and forth on the company website...

I am not sure that the instant messaging is there either.

Unfortunately I don't use it.   I forget.  We are emailing back and forth and I don't make them join.  Or we try to get them set up and run into a roadblock, often a browser issue,

I think MyRealLiving  is what Real Living won the Inman award for one year.. RL nominated many times won once?)

A client and I can if all the stars align communicate through it. Pass documents back and forth, I guess I could post my blog posts directly to clients there.  Never thought of it until Bob Stewarts challenge,

Google Wave could replace piecemealing  IM, Twitter, blogging... OR not.

Funny tweet just now  from someone I follow on Twitter:

"What is the $#*&^!@#!!! problem with Google Wave tonight? "Unsynced Waves" my butt! Work damnit! Just Work!"

It is someone from Columbus, very little on the profile, no link to a website.  I  think I thought that person was a female but that tweet sounds  like a man to me

Or me...  I get that way, but  I have not got that involved with Google Wave yet....
