How many AR points can you get per year?

We blog to share information, build relationships, network, and do more business. And a lot of us blog to get points. Those precious Active Rain points.

So, given that you get all the points your supposed to and there are no technical difficulties, can you guess what’s the most points a person can get in a year for basic blogging?

(Not including comments received on your blogs, featured posts, invitation points, contests, spam reporting, and staff awarded bonus points as that can be almost infinite.)

a. 405,600

b. 352,000

c. 257,400

Wow Michael, I am a diligent blogger, poster, and commenter.... guess I will be up there above 200,000 after a year or so.... YOU tell me how far! Kathy

Hi Michael - I've been in the Rain a little over three years and just passed 500,000 ... so I hope the answer is (c), otherwise I've left a lot of points on the table!

Michael, I read this yesterday and thought that I would try to work it out -- but today, I decided to just give it a wild guess. I will pick answer C.

C is correct!

1750 comments points/week. 2000 normal blog points/week. 700 for logging in daily. 250 for adding to Channels/Topics, and 250 for max ReBlogged posts. The Weekly potential of points would be 4950. 52 weeks in a year would make that 257,400 points.
