The votes have been counted…it’s official.

New Jersey has a new Governor-elect, but exit polls reveal Garden State voters have little hope things will change!

Republican Chris Christie out polled incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine in voting yesterday with members of both political parties saying their most important concern was the economy and jobs.

Second on their list of concerns is New Jersey’s high property and income taxes.

What’s most interesting though is that when asked who had a viable tax reform proposal, New Jersey voters said no one!

So is the outcome of this election change for the sake of change?

Might be.  Looks like to me (from a distance) that someone better get their hands around the high property tax issue and corruption or there's gonna be more change in elections to come.

Honestly, I wasn't crazy about either choice!

Laura, I guess sometimes people just NEED change.  They already know who they don't want ... maybe they'll give someone new a try.   Good luck. :)

sounds like the lesser of two evils.  There are very few elected officials that garner much respect or have high hopes from they voting public.

Laura

As an ex New Jersey resident changes needed to be make, creating new jobs, tax reform and getting the states economy going will help to lower the taxes in the state.

Good luck and success.
