The Greenfield Neighborhood: Aurora/Centennial, Colorado

Greenfield is a community of approximately 700 homes in southeast Aurora, Colorado.  It is bordered by Liverpool Street on the east, South Genoa Street on the west, Arapahoe Road on the south and Smoky Hill Road on the north.

The neighborhood includes a small area with townhomes, but is mostly single-family housing.  There is a beautiful community pool and clubhouse, a playground, and a greenbelt winds through the community.

The neighborhood is part of the highly-regarded Cherry Creek School District.  Students attend Rolling Hills Elementary School , Falcon Creek Middle School and Grandview High School.

The Arapahoe Park and Recreation District recently opened the Trails Recreation Center nearby.  This beautiful 78,000 square foot facility is located on an approximately 21.5-acre site at the intersection of Buckley Road and Orchard Road.  It includes an 18,000 sq ft aquatics area including a lap pool, leisure pool, activity pool, water slides, lazy river, hot tub, and steam room.  Additional facilities include cardiovascular equipment, free weights, gymnasium, aerobics room, cycling/group fitness studio, 2 racquetball/wallyball courts, multi purpose rooms, running track, climbing tower, and babysitting services.  Residents receive discounted admission to the facility.

A large shopping complex, Southlands, has recently opened just a couple miles from the Greenfield neighborhood.  This lovely new lifestyle center offers a cozy, main-street shopping experience with over 100 retailers, a 16-screen movie theater, and plenty of dining choices.  For shoppers and diners looking for even more options, the Park Meadows (link) shopping center is only a few miles down the tollway as well.
