It is that time! The Wake Forest NC Town Advisory Boards are accepting applications for vacant seats! This is a wonderful opportunity for Wake Forest NC residents to help shape, guide and support Wake Forest NC!
The local boards were established to give residents input in to what happens in Wake Forest NC and to advise the Board of Commissioners on matters that affect the town and it's residents.
Applications are being accepted through November 18, 2009 for vacant seats. Each of the following Boards has 3 seats available unless where noted:
- Cemetary
- Greenway
- Historic Preservation
- Human Relations
- Planning
- Recreation
- Senior Center
- Urban Forestry
- Board of Adjustment (Only 1 seat open)
To apply for any of the vacant seats you MUST be a resident of Wake Forest NC or the ETJ (extra-territorial jurisdiction). All of the above vacancies are set to expire on December 31, 2009.
Interviews of applicants will be held on December 1, 2009 and the appointments will be announced on December 15, 2009 during the regular Board of Commissioners meeting. The new term for the seats will begin in Jannuary, 2010. All of the volunteers that will have been selected will serve a term of 3 years.
