I snapped this photo as my husband and I were strolling along Champs Elysees one evening in Paris on our vacation in September.

I doff my hat to the designer of this window, one of the most original I have seen. I'm about to embark on a very large Pasadena garden design project, and I hope to incorporate the spirit of this window design into the garden design. I doubt I'll be able to include a giant, moss covered naked woman into the garden, but maybe a boulder or two :o)

I didn't even see the giant, moss covered naked woman before you pointed it out!  I must say that is pretty creative and impressive.  Good luck on your project!  Sounds exciting :)

Lina: The window was breathtaking. The photo does not do it justice. When I first saw the window, I thought the woman was just a pile of boulders, but then I saw the face.

Cathy: For some reason we always wind up in Paris, either at the start of vacation or at the end. This trip we spent 2 days there at the beginning and 2 days at the end (which I spent in bed at the hotel with the flu:o( and we spent the rest of the time in the Dordogne region touring Medieval villages. Wonderful!

I looked at the photo before I read your blog and was surprised to see the moss woman! Very cool and what a nice vacation you must have had!

Wow! Great use of green and red complementaries, and the unexpected moss-covered stone becoming a woman after a closer look - very creative. I especially like the texture and softness of moss and leaves, makes the whole scene cozy and welcoming (no wonder the stone woman is taking a nap ;D)

Looking forward to see the pictures of the finished garden project. Good luck!

Ana: Bien Sur!

KK: Vacation was lovely except for the flu at the end (at least it was French flu!)

Bozena: I would have loved to have taken a nap there. It was like a fairytale forest. Enchanting!

Funny I didn't notice the lady either.  Paris is beautiful this time of year, have fun, and take it all in!

Michelle, Paris was full of art and design...in EVERYTHING!  I loved the window and it's wonderful where we find inspiration isn't it?
