The White House distanced itself Wednesday from Democratic losses in two states, saying the races for governor hinged on local issues and were not a referendum on President Barack Obama.
Still, exit polls showed more than four in 10 voters in Virginia said their view of Obama factored into their choice. Those voters roughly split between expressing support and opposition for the president. The Obama factor was similar in New Jersey, though there were slightly more voters who said the president did not factor into their choice.
Obama had inserted himself into the races, campaigning for both Corzine and Deeds and appearing in their advertisements.
It is clear the economy that the Obama administration has "created" and not the one he inherited will hurt anyone who align him or herself with him. The arrogance and misrepresentation of the facts are creating distrust and slowing the economic recovery. The mobster style attacks on anyone who disagrees smell of malfeasance and corruption. We have blatant racism in Atlanta that gets a huge pass. We have Acorn volunteers collecting ballots and it goes almost unnoticed.
Let's hope a sleeping giant has been awakened and remember to be ruthless with our politics. It is clear that playing nice gets us nowhere, so why bother.
Enough said, I have to go fire the cleaning guy, the yard guy and 6 employees, to pay for healthcare.....
