Hope, B.C.  is a delightful little town 30 minutes East of Chilliwack and about 1.5 hrs east of Vancouver, set on the banks of the mighty Fraser and Coquihalla rivers. Famous as the home of the Rambo movies and the Hope Slide...and the Chainsaw Woodcarving Capital of the World! It also has the most affordable homes in the Valley!

Hi Liz... Hope looks absolutely beautiful.  As you know, we do not have many hills, let alone mountains, in the Dallas area, so I am always fascinated with places that have such scenic mountains and lakes.

I like the name =)  And looking at the images; especially the Indian carving... reminds me of one of the geography facts on my recent post about interesting world geography facts. I think you'll like the Canada facts =)

I always thought that Sunshine Valley was beyond Hope and was of the most deceiving place names in advertising that exists :)

I used to live in Sunshine Valley Scott -and as far as 'daylight hours' were concerned there was a lot of sunshine - just after the sunset - which was early because of the mountains - we lost some sunlight hours........- Hope is 'never beyond hope'....sunshine valley - is 'beyond hope' lol!
