Hi Karen, yes I have visited Mt Vernon, in 1975 when I also lived in Norfolk for awhile but the giveaway was famous and historic. I love your photograph shot through the fence as such. Thank you for sharing.

I'm a little late but was going to guess that George Washington lived there. I've been there but a very long time ago.

Great challenge. I've been there! Very interesting...except your photo doesn't show the hords of people waiting in line to get in! LOL (Mine has only a few...)

I recently went to a wine tasting at the MT vernon mansion. It is a great home with so much history.
