Beautiful Mount Vernon,  Thanks for the Photo, nothing as Historic as that out here!  I love Strafford Hall as well!

By George, I'm going to have to give this some thought!!!  :-)

Beautiful picture, Karen-I like how you framed it in the fence.

Hi Karen, yes I have visited Mt Vernon, in 1975 when I also lived in Norfolk for awhile but the giveaway was famous and historic. I love your photograph shot through the fence as such. Thank you for sharing.

I'm a little late but was going to guess that George Washington lived there.  I've been there but a very long time ago.

Great challenge. I've been there! Very interesting...except your photo doesn't show the hords of people waiting in line to get in! LOL (Mine has only a few...)

Hello Karen, I like your photo -- as if seen through the eyes of a child out on an adventure!  Thanks.  John

Karen-

We spent an afternoon there. My wife was amazed to see the tobacco plants, just like her home here in Tennessee.

Hi Karen -- I used to live in NoVa for a long time and in Alexandria for a while and I visited Mount Vernon once, but could have spent WAY more time there -- isn't that always the case it seems?

I recently went to a wine tasting at the MT vernon mansion. It is a great home with so much history.
