I'm a little down right now; I had an accident today.

Today, I was removing a piece of mirror that was cracked.

As I was doing so, my wife let slip the top piece which came down

and sliced a gash in my hand to the bone. I severed some blood vessels

obviously, the blood was profuse. Without getting into too many details, I

drove to emergancy, they processed me and I was stitched and given a tetanus

shot and sent on my way. All in an hour and a half-no charge.

Before I left, I chatted up the nurses and gave them

several business cards and the $100 bills I had printed up. One of them has a

friend who's thinking of buying. Jeez, ya' never know where business is coming from.

I guess blood, sweat and tears actually do generate business!

But seriously, sorry to hear about your accident. I am glad you are ok!

I hope you heal quickly.  I never would have thought to hand out cards in the Emerecny room.  It kinda reminds me of Denzel Washington's character in the movie Philadelphia...........he was a lawyer............walked up and down the halls in the hospital handing out cards in one scene!

Terry,

Ouch! I hope it heals quickly. Wow, what a fast visit to the ER! I never heard of someone getting in and out so fast, and for no charge. Great to hear that at least.

Chris,

Why not? Nurses and doctors buy houses too.

Carra,

We don't pay up here. It's part of our medical system.

Terry,

Good to hear that you're always marketing, even when you are in "emerg".

Hey Terry, I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad you're okay. Neat idea to give out your business card in the ER, I never thought of that. Your other idea about putting one on the Trick or Treat candy bags worked like a charm. I'll have to write a post on that. Stay away from glass for a while and be well.

Somehow you passing out card - anywhere doesn't surprise me on little bit. I bet those nurses loved the attention.  What surprised me is getting in and out of emergency see that fast - doesn't happen like that in the state.  Glad it wasn't worse - take care!

BTW - you story teller - I knew I smeleed a 'rat' :)

Elizabeth,

For all the whining we do here about it's pretty good.

I get tired of hearing the griping about health care on the open Line shows.  It must be pretty good where they come from.  Not sure what they call the planet.  Yuranus I think.

Terry, Is that going to interfere with your coaching stint in Argentina?

Greg,

Try going to a hospital in Mexico or the Dominion Republic. I've experience in both. Abysmal. Good planet joke.
