Recently I wrote a post entitled Rodents In Paradise. I have got to tell you that I see them everywhere. We are talking rats and mice, not the wonderful little squirrels that are so well behaved. In this area even high-end homes have problems with rats and mice.

I can honestly say that, at my home, I have not had a problem with rats or mice in years. At one time we would see an occasional one under the sink. Now, if there is any sign of them at all, then it is a body that we might find in the backyard.

There are three reasons why I no longer have rodent problems.

From left to right, those three reasons are:

1. Tigretto Tartufo

2. Silvio Purrrlusconi

3. Fratello Tartufo

These Italian cats have ZERO tolerance for vermin. I put the three on the payroll, originally, on the advice of my assistant manager, and the world's top certifried home inspector assistant, Mr Nutsy S. Wallenda.

Thanks for stopping by,

Steven L. Smith

Steven, my next door neighbors have mice.  I have cats.  I've never seen a mouse in my house.

Steve, a heads up for you.  (forgetting about Nutsy for a moment) 3 cats and 14 feral "free-loaders" IS VERMIN!

Obviously you have the working Italians -- have they considered running for office in Italy? Good job, Italian cats! The three are very good-looking. :)  And reluctantly, very reluctantly, kudos to that certifried assistant's recommendation -- I guess even rodents can appreciate vermin killers.

Shosana,

The center one, Silvio Purrrlusconi is, on a daily basis, in communication with his name-sake the real Silvio Berlusconi. We have to punch in the number for him but the other Silvio takes the call pronto.

I won't tell you ,because of your love for cats, what my father did to my cat when I was young....to think that there is blood relation.

We have three cats as well.  I guess that's why we haven't ever had mice or rats?  Come to think of it, our neighbors with no cats did have this issue years ago.  Hmm...

Heather,

I probably would rather not know.

Jason,

You got the reason you have no vermin.

Hey Steve,

Cute kitties with DEMON eyes!!! I'm sure with them around, you have nothing to worry about.

You certainly have some great mouse catchers.   I suspect you don't put out the welcome mat for rodents either.  Some seem to provide a smorgasbord of food with water as well as opening for their comfortable warm abodes.

Those kitties do look fat and sassy laying on their bed.  Do they share?  We had one cat that would bring us her trophies.

Steven, thankfully, we do not have the rodent problems y'all have up there. When this area was more rural, puss really kept what mice we had at bay. ☺☺☺

Steven,

I am certain Nutsy did a thorough background check before he recommended these three for the job.

We have two cats, both of whom live indoors.  One would be afaid of the mice while the other would play with them. We've had mice in the garage, however.  The dog does nothing to keep them at bay.

My daughter has cats too.  She always loved cats.  Once she moved out on her own she didn't have to ask.  She just gathered them up and loved them.

Hey Steve,

I remember about 18 years ago in my first apartment I caught 15 mice in one day on glue traps I put down through out my one bedroom apartment. I got a cat the next day and never saw a mouse again.
