Have you ever noticed that, when you get the giggles, everything that follows is somehow funny too?  Those uncontrollable-almost-pee-your-pants-gut-hurting-endorphin-releasing laughs feel so good!

I hope you know what I'm talking about.  I hope you have a group of friends or someone in your life that makes you laugh and smile.  If you are the instigator of all of this hilarity, God bless you!  The world needs more laughter.

I understand that we all have worries and stress, maybe things are not what we would like, and sometimes our troubles seem to overwhelm us.  Some of us are so serious, serious, serious - full of doom and gloom, something's always wrong!   But, everybody has to laugh about something.

There are many funny people here on ActiveRain, and I love to visit their posts.  A joke or a smile goes a long way, and makes our road so much brighter!

Yesterday, we got a bad case of the giggles at the office, so much so that tears were streaming down our faces.  It was one of those silly things "that you would've had to have been there."

I love the people at my office, and while we work hard, we laugh and have fun, too.

They say that laughter is the best medicine....it's free and you don't even need a prescription!

So, today I am thankful for the people that make me laugh and bring joy into my life.

That's what I miss about not going into an office.  I am virtual and I have started talking to myself.  It's great that you have a group that you like so much.  Maybe you can conference me in on one of those laugh fests.

Hi Mary, I love to be in a room when someone gets a case of the giggles and the laughter is infectious. It happens to me and my older sister, Jean everytime we get in a room together. She cracks me up.

The worst part is when you get those giggles at the wrong time. I remember one Christmas Eve at mass my younger cousin- the only boy in the group of 7 girl cousins, started us laughing. There we were trying to be serious and he wouldn't let up on the jokes. Don't even know what it was about now, 30 years later, just remember that time. Isn't that what life is about. Probably would have never remembered that Christmas eve if it weren't for that event.

Hope you have a laugh filled Thursday!

My office is that way too Mary and I'm so thankful that I work with such a wonderful group of people.  My mom also makes me laugh all the time.  We sometimes have to not look at each other in places where laughter isn't called for... ie the funeral home, hospital, church service because if we get tickled we'd be in trouble.

Mary, our office is that way two.  I just said it today... whenever there are two or more of us, we laugh.  Usually to the point of crying.  No matter what else is going on in our lives, we laugh.  I love this post and I am featuring it, with the power that Mike Saunders has bestowed on me, in the Thankful Thursday group!

Hi Marney, I'm glad you have people who make you laugh, that you are thankful for, too!  Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate that!

Sandy it sounds like Jean is the instigator??!!  My sister-in-law and I used to do that - the family threatened that we couldn't sit together at holidays dinners anymore -because we always got the giggles.  I'm thankful for Jean and my sister-in-law, Kay for making us laugh :-)  Thanks Sandy!

Linda, it's even worse when you aren't supposed to be laughing I think! The harder you try to be serious, the funnier it gets!  That sounds like a great memory for Christmas Eve, Linda! :-)  Thanks, I'm glad you stopped by with that story, it's a good one.

HAHA Tammy, That's too funny - and I guess some people don't appreciate the giggles at the funeral home !  Still -- they sometimes happen LOL  Thanks for that, that tickled me!!

Thanks Craig!  You're right about  laughter causing wrinkles.  I've been meaning to send you a bill,  the price of my "Oil of old Lady" is going up, and I need an extra dosage due to your blog! LOL

Hi Brian, It is a great work environment :-)  Thanks for coming by today, there's always something to be thankful for :-)

Mary - laughter is a very healthy thing to practice, both emotionally and physically. It's great when you can have a good group laugh, at no one's expense and everyone's benefit!

Hi Mike, Thanks for stopping in today, you are so right - everyone benefits from a good laugh.  We often laugh at ourselves, so sometimes it is at someones expense (often mine)- but done with love and not mean spirited in any way.

Hi Bruce, Thank you for coming back - no need to send me the candy since all the Tootie Rolls are gone - Maybe you could use them on a marketing campaign. You could stick a sucker on a business card "one way to lick your house hounting blues" ...
