Margaret Rome, thanks for the invitation to this wonderful forum and for the guidance you've been so willing to offer! I still feel quite shy about putting my thoughts out here, but I'm facing my fear and typing anyway. (Thanks also to Thilina Fernando for his first blog post which gave me the courage to do this.)
I've been in business since 1987 and have loved almost every minute of it. For the past nine years, I have partnered with my son, Dipper Wettstein. The partnership has taken my business to a new and very wonderful level. How many parents get to communicate with their adult offspring in a meaningful and enjoyable way daily? It is such a gift in my life. Dipper and I have different strengths that compliment each other well. I'm also lucky that we "get along" so well - always have... I can't (and don't want to!) imagine running my business without him.
We are based in Howard County, Maryland - in the "planned city" of Columbia. I've lived here for over forty years and Dipper has lived here his entire life.
