The tax credit extension is now a reality!

Below is a chart from NAR's website detailing the differences in the credits.

So if you have been waiting to buy because of the possible extension, IT'S TIME TO GET BACK IN THE GAME!

Barb, are we to assume that a move-up buyer is defined as someone buying a more expensive property to use as a primary residence regardless of if their current home is listed yet?

Good questions Dan. It says "Must have used the home sold or being sold as a primary residence consecutively for 5 of the previous 8 years." This implies that the move up buyer has to sell in order to take advantage, but I'm not positive.

It's a good thing this passed; even better is the fact that existing buyers can now get more motivated.

Tom, I know. I have an agent with some interested move up buyers for a listing of mine and I am hoping this is the catalyst they need.
