It's that time of the year again-the Monsoon season.

I'm sitting in my office right now at 5:30 PM; it's pitch black

already and the wind is howling. The rain is coming at the house vertically.

I really don't like this time of the year. To much grayness and damp.

Fortunately, I take vitimins; among them E & D which is supposed

to be good for compensating for lack of sunlight. I also have one

of those day-light lamps on my desk which I use 30 minutes

each day. Can't wait to get to Cabo San Lucas in Feb.

Terry:  Yikes, my friend.  I surely hope you make it through the winter until you can once again see the sunshine.  And yes, it was pretty cool here today in Fort Worth.  Mid-seventies, I believe.  And... that is in Fahrenheit degrees, and it is ABOVE zero.  LOL.

Hi Terry - Since I have nothing better to do at 1:40 am EDT, I have concluded that you are currently somewhere in the Pacific Ocean right now.  The ActiveRain clock claims you posted this post at 12:25 am CST which would make it around 10:25 pm PST yesterday.  But you claim it is 5:30 pm (5 hours earlier), so you must have another office that is not in BC.

The monsoons have come to the Seattle area as well.  Look forward to see the sun again in the spring.

Charles,

It just dawned on me that you're from Seattle. We have the same weather systems. I'll be there in Feb. overnight to catch a flight to Cabo. Maybe we can hook up for a drink.

When you are away from home, you might miss the things you really don't like.

Terry, It sounds like a wonderful vacation you have coming up!  It gets dark far too early here, too!

Terry - We're sitting here awaiting the arrival of hurricane Ida--should be here tomorrow with about 4" of rain predicted.  We don't need it. After a drought for the past couple of years, we've had flooding this year and are significantly above normal rainfall.

Our monsoon comes in July and August. Right now we're terribly dry (and sunny). Wouldn't it be nioce if you could send us some rain, and we could send you some sun?

Leslie,

I understand it gets so hot down there in July and August that people stay indoors.

Hey Terry

Just to rub it in a bit, it was 19 degrees today, sunny here in London Ontario. To golf or play real estate?

It started out cold, damp and cloudy then turned in a pretty nice day. The high was in the mid 60's. Now it's back to cold, but I'm back in doors so by the woodstove.

Terry,

I love the rain! Not all the time, but sometimes I welcome it. Glad you're so prepared for the lack of sunshine. I bet you'll be so ready for Cabo!

You're sure taking it from one extreme (BC) to the other (Cabo). Maybe you should try an intermediate destination, like San Diego! LOL
