Where does the extra $500 for first time buyers come from?  I hadn't heard of them increasing it any.  Also the $6500 is for people who have lived in their primary residence for 5 consecutive years or more.  If it were just move up, we'd be moving up but we've only been in our home two years.  It is good news that they're extending it.  I'd noticed some people kind of lingering until they heard.
