I suspect Vegas is warmer than the east coast almost in any year in Winter. We have had very mild Winters for the past three or so years. I have only fired up the snowblower once a year to make sure it is prepped and ready to use but have not used it at all in about four years. This year is already showing signs of being colder than recent years. Old Timers are saying they think its going to be "a cold and snowy one." The Farmers Almanac apparently (third party) is statingthat the el Nino this year will come from the North and not the South as it has in previous years so look out! I would place my bets on a colder Winter at least when compared to the past few years.

And if it is especially snowy or icy....a slow real estate sales Winter as well.

Hope it will be a mild winter. I agree with Tom, a snowy winter may mean a slow real estate market.

That's what we're hearing here too, but that's what we always seem to here here too :)
It's always those "unexpected" storms that get ya anyway so always be prepared.

Vegas Bob,

Should I say "Beeeh" or "Brrrrr".   Winter came early (we had snow in early October) but did not stay.  We are having some nice weather for the past two weeks and no snow!   :)   Winter can be unpredictable when you live at above 5,500 feet above sea level.   Nice trio!

We had such a mild summer in Indiana that I am convinced that winter will be bitter!

Brrr, we're expecting it to be a cold winter in Virginia. What's the average temperature for Vegas in the winter?

Debbie - I think average temps in Vegas through the winter are around 75 to 80, I will take a look to be sure and get back to the post.

Patricia - Do you have these cute little creatures running around your home too? I really like giving them great big hugs every once and a while.
