Was It As Good For You As It Was For Me?

WAS IT AS GOOD FOR YOU AS IT WAS FOR ME?

You bet your bottom dollar it was! So you're blogging in the rain to get business and you see these "featured posts" when you log-on to the Active Rain website and see the list of featured superstars. Whatever, right? WRONG! Being featured is no joke, even if you had to "sleep" with someone to get there!

I've been featured with my first post for about 15 hours now and I can't even tell you all of the ways it has effected my blogging career. I now have 20 new blog followers, several new associates, phone calls & emails from people I have never spoken to before and my comments received jumped from 1,147 to an astonishing 1,355! That's 208 comments in a matter of hours, 18% of my blogging career's worth of comments with one post!

Thank you Margaret Rome and C Tann for the phone call last night while I was walking into the Olive Garden, announcing my featured & hijacked wickedness. This has been by far, the best time I've had on Active Rain to date! I look forward to what's to come now that I've "started my Active Rain career" as Margaret would put it. Being featured wasn't just about getting the star, but about building new relationships in and out of the rain. I think I hit that goal and now I can soar. Making friends and building a brand name is part of blogging in the rain for me.

Now don't you guys get your boxers in a bunch, I'm not saying that you should chase featured posts or that they are what's important here. If you don't know why I blog, read this previous post What Do You Blog For to find out. Building relationships is what is important, with consumers and with fellow Rainmakers.

Now it's time to pick a really snazzy domain name for my new outside blog I'm going to create.
Any ideas? Thanks for the support everyone, much love goes out to all of you!

Is this the morning after the night before?

Last night with C-Tann, I was reading an old post of mine that was hijacked BC (before Carolyn) and we were both hysterical laughing. Keep enjoying and we will all be reading your future posts.

First, let me say congratulations on your feature yesterday. We all had SO much fun with it. I too, am a new subscriber!

Kathleen - I just flew back from Seattle where I finished up my research identifying the location of all AR members a couple nights ago. I have 3 with VERY sketchy alibis. You can deny this all you want, but I'm going to all of the necessary undercover work to find the truth.

Thanks for your hard work Hitzelberger. I expect a report by the end of the weekend on this, and yes, you will be paid handsomely.

BTW...Do you know a good marriage counselor?

JC - I do believe you can get an AR discount on certain marriage counselors. Mostly used for addiction problems, but I'm sure they cover this scenario too.

Thanks Kathryn! It was a blast! It all actually happened while I was out on a girl's night watching the MJ movie and eating some Olive Garden. All of a sudden my Blackberry was bombarded and a few rainers were calling me up to figure out where I disappeared to. Guess I figured out how to get some attention in this joint...LOL
