While this weekend was beautiful - Sunday, Marathon in the Middle Keys saw its share of waterspouts - basically a tornado that forms over water that usually disapiates once it reaches land. My husband's secretary remembers her mom telling stories about how it would "rain fish" sometimes when a waterspout broke up over thier home on Big Coppitt. The pictures in the Keynoter are absolutely awesome and fortunately there was little or no damage caused by the storms.

To see nature's beauty and power go to the Keynoter website  - if you ever encounter one of these storms while on the water, the rule of thumb is to travel at a 90 degree angle away from the waterspout.
