Well Richard, this comment has nothing to do with your open house but a comment you left earlier prompted me to come here and tell you something.

When you returned from Vietnam in 1970 I was just a 5 year old little girl who hadn't yet started school.  I'm very sorry that the Americans at the time didn't give you the home comming that you so well deserved.  I am personally grateful for your service to OUR great nation.  My daddy didn't get to be with my mom when I was born because he was serving in the Navy.  My uncle Johnny, whom I loved so dearly as a child, was not fortunate enough to get to come home.  I still find it disgraceful that we as a nation have ever done anything but support our troops.  Even if people don't agree with the cause for a war, troop support should always come first.  So although it's late... I want to say  Thank you Richard.  I appreciate your service.  I'm grateful that our nation is free and I'm sorry we let you down when we you returned home in 1970.  God Bless.
