The Pelosi/Obama health care bill is in trouble - as well it should be.

Not one Republican in the House supports it or will vote for it (so they say).

The majority of Americans don't want this passed.

For all of their talk about insuring every eligible American citizen (excluding illegal aliens at this point), the bill still fails to cover 4%, with just 96% coverage.

The bill is still 10 votes short of passage as of this afternoon.

The enormity of the expense for this bill cannot even be calculated but exceeds a trillion dollars - and likely several trillion dollars.

And the pressure to pass this unwanted (and unconstitutional) measure is so great by the House leadership that the House and the President are working on a Saturday (can you believe it?) to try to get it passed - even though the Senate has said it will next year before they get around to it. I know I've asked this before, but what's the rush?

It just doesn't add up. Let's forget the whole thing - Republican bill and Democratic bill. Better luck after the 2010 elections.

Steve- I hate to say it but I think they will vote on Saturday. If we can beat this thing, it is over for another 10 years. I hope.

Steve

It a very poor bill and I don't think they have the vote.

Good luck and success.

I hope it isn't passed before 2010, then I think we'll be safe for a long time from this overreaching.

Steve... I don't see how anyone could even give this a thought to pass.. that is if they have half a brain.  Unfortunately, I think that is all we have in congress.. ARE people with half a brain.

Kevin,

They will only vote if Pelosi thinks they have the votes. Even at that, it could still die in the Senate or with a new Congress. :)

Lou,

It is a horrible bill, but none of them would know it. :)

Jon,

I agree, and it's looking more possible for this. :)

Steve,

If this bill doesn't fail, America will. :)

Oddly, if you remove the illegals (and Obama says they won't be covered) and people that CHOOSE not to have health care (like the ones that are already eligible for government care, but don't sign up)... you end up with about the same number of people not covered under the trillion dollar plan as there are now.

Lane,

That's right. When the government gets involved, it's not about the issue they claim. It's always about power and control. :)

Steve - What's the rush, you ask?  The rush is that if anybody gets the chance to read and comprehend the bill, it will fail.  But everybody knows that.

Steve - and if what I am reading about some of the ammendments to it (which we are not seeing because they are not being made public), this is the most facist piece of legislation in America since Woodrow Wilson.

Steve, everyone pretty much figured the house POS (piece of sh*t) would pass.  The trouble will be in getting the Senate to pass something.  Then to get the two bills combined and both the sendate and house to pass a combined bill.

I was at late dinner and drinks with a visiting DC person when he got the page the bill had gone through.  This person is a DC insider and is in favor of National Healthcare.  Yes, it made for a very interesting evening! LOL   Since this person is in an extremelyt high position with a large healthcare company that will benefit greatly from the bill going through, you can see why he supports it.  I have learned a lot recently from people who are intimately aware of the "dealings" going on in Washington.

The more I learn about the behind the door workings of politics the more I can't stand politicians!!

This is no time to stop fighting the take over of our healthcare.  Fight on everyone!!!
