Lenn,

This could be a good thing having the extension run thru the end of April.  Any bets on having it extended?

WOW! I hadn't kept up with this and didn't realize it was not open to ALL buyers. I guess I need to load up on listings.

Hi Lenn,

How are you? Hope well and happy.

I have had mixed feelings on this but now it is law and we should all be doing what you are doing. Informing and encouraging consumers to take advatnage of what has been put in place for them.

Hi Lenn - I decided not to write on this issue but, after reading your post I realized it makes total sense to get this out in our Localism channels and encourage customers to "go for it".  Good job and thanks.

Kent.  Precisely.  I write Localism with news to home buyers in my area, not for AR members.  They should all know about it.

William.  This is simply publishing local news.  I posted two, one for MD and one for VA because AR is set up that way.

Bryant.  Wouldn't that be an overload?

Don.  Not from me.

Well, whether it's a good idea or not, it's law!  I guess we'll worry about paying for it down the road!

Just curious - do you think this 5 month window is enough for move-up buyers to take advantage? Especially given that we're in Nov & Dec is next? Out here with home values off by 50% - 60% I don't know if this will be enough time or incentive to motivate. Hopefully the impact will be more positive in other areas.

Gene.  I have buyers who would love to benefit and they could settle by June, even with new construction.  Problem is they owned their previous home only 4.5 years.  I fail to understand why the government put that clinker in.
