19 Comments on Blackberry - Tricks and Useful Tips
I can't live without CRACKberry. Thanks for the info and have a great weekend.....
Thanks for this great write-up about the BLACKBERRY! I did not know, either, that BB is the software... I've been wanting to learn more about them, and if T-Nobile has good ones (since they've been my carrier for years); my contract with them is up this month, and I'm looking at something new. I like a lot of the features you mention...I get pulled by the iphone...(what made you NOT choose an iphone?) LOL! about the name, after your adorable Blackpuppy. Thanks again for your informative and fun-to-read post!
Thanks for all the links.
I got my first Blackberry earlier this year and am still learning about all it can do. It's amazing how quickly I've come to depend upon features I never used before.
Terry: the instructor said crackberry was a "must have" website if you use a Blackberry.
Mara: I asked a couple of much younger people than me whether I should go with an IPhone or Blackberry and it was unanimous - Blackberry they shouted! That was enough to convince me to go in that direction. They did tell me the IPhone is not as reliable. Of course, I keep calling the IPhone an IPod, so what do I know. LOL
Ted: I hope you find them to be useful. I haven't been to all of them as yet.
Dan: My understanding is crackberry.com provides help in the way of forums, news, blogs and more. I am planning to read up on everything before I actually get one. How do you like yours so far? How user friendly is it on a scale of 1 to 5 - 5 being the most user friendly.
Donna, thanks for the GREAT overview of your love of Blackberry. I have both a Blackberry and an iPhone and each has their strengths. Whatever helps you do the job best I am all for. The soft keyboard is the learning curve on the iPhone but you pick it up with practice. The Bold and the Storm 2 I think are the Flagship ones from RIM now. I stay cutting edge on the Apple side with the 3G S.
If you study up first, you'll be miles ahead of me when you get one. I've found it to be fairly easy to learn so far, but as I mentioned, there is lots more to continue to learn.
Donna, There's another person on the planet who didn't know this :) The last thing I need is another addiction---Activerain is bad (or good) enough! Enjoy the new toy.
Donna, I used to have two Blackberry phones, one with T-Mobile and another with Sprint. Now I have an iPhone and I have to admit that it's a keeper! Everyone has their own personal preference, but I found the iPhone to be more user-friendly than the Blackberry. :)

Gary: I'm looking forward to getting a BB. I am trying to learn something about them first so I can be fairly productive when I get one.
Dan: There's so many choices out there that it just becomes too confusing. I'm taking this one a little slow.
Carole: I am in good company with you. Thank you.
Leilani: I'm sure the BB and iphone each have their own advantages. Thank you for the feedback.
Donna - Very useful information! Thanks for providing it! I need to agree with Carole, I'm afraid to take on another addiction right now:-)
Donna, Wow I feel like a kid on Christmas. I can't wait to try out and check out all of these applications. I'm going to forward your blog to my other friends who are addicted..... I mean work with Blackberry Phones. Thanks again, great job.
Myrl: What's one more? LOL Thanks for stopping by.
Kim: I'm looking forward to getting one. I actually tuned out for the last couple of years about these phones but now that I'm learning what all they can do and will make my life easier, I'm ready to join in. I haven't gotten to all of these websites either.
Donna: I am not on the Blackberry train...yet. My husband and daughter both have one and swear by it. I'm not due for an upgrade for another year...but I may make the plunge before that.
Kim: I buried my head in the sand and just ignored this wave of technology but I am convinced now that it's a necessary evil.
You're so right... it IS a necessary evil. And the more you use it, the less evil it will seem. I just broke down and traded in my TREO for an iphone, and I've already forgotten what I loved about the TREO.
Margaret: I am ready to take on the new challenge of more technology to make life easier (LOL) but it's the addiction that I fear the most. But I'm jumping in...
Hi Donna....I just got my Palm working trouble free for the last 6 months, now my email is not working. Blacklberry was not a choice with my service provider 2 years ago, but you bet I'll be looking at a blackberry next Fall when my contract come up,
Very Helpful links for Blackberry users.
Fred: I'm looking forward to getting a blackberry but not looking forward to figuring out how to use it. Since I've been in real estate, there's not a day goes by that I do not learn something new. Technology keeps me on my toes for sure.
