Are you feeling a little unorganized?

In this day an age we all have about a million things that need to be done now and sometimes you can't keep track of what and who you are doing things for. Are you tired of having your computer covered with sticky notes and every scrap piece of paper you own has one note or another about an important meeting or event that you must attend?

With technology being the way that it is you can use one tool that I have found to be very helpful as a Real Estate Virtual Assistant.... I use an online calendar. There are several free ones out there to choose from. This is an easy, cost effective way to get organized.  I use AirSet (www.airset.com) and I have found this to be a good tool to keep my clients and myself organized and on track. With this calendar I have the ability to set up an unlimited amount of calendars that I can share with certain people or keep private. So I have a  calendar for my own personal commitments (i.e. doctors appts, school activities etc.), I also have one set up for my own VA practice (i.e. marketing ideas, blog posts, phone calls, training etc.) and then I also set up each of my clients with their own calendar.

Setting up my clients with their own calendar that only myself and the client and any other people that need to be part of it are able to view, has been very beneficial to my practice.  You can color code the calendar as well as get a daily reminder sent via email or to a hand held device. There is an online blog for posting notes to each other within your group. Also you are able to share files via the group. It makes it like a hub for all important information that may be needed to work on a project with several different people, it will also help you to stay on track and on task.

So if you haven't already you should consider using one of these useful tools to get you organized and on your way to being more productive and have less stress.

Airset is the only thing that keeps my family straight.  With my husband's travel schedule and my work/social commitments, not to mention our extended families who live out of state, this is the easiest way for us to stay in touch, keep track of birthdays and other events, and even blog to each other or share pictures (I just link my Shutterfly albums there).  I haven't started using it with clients yet, but it really keeps my personal life organized.  And you can even get an email reminder each afternoon of the next day's activities/reminders.  Perfect!

It is not getting organized, it working through all the nit pick stuff that is coming up on the small $$$ sales and not on the larger $$$. Then jumping through the hoops with the mortgage guy to make it to closing.

I really love Airset as well....I'm a big fan of color coding because I'm a visual person, and love having my own little individual web pages for the categories of my life!

Betsy-  That is my feeling as well. I am glad to see that somebody else has had such a great experience with AirSet.

Susan- It is very important to make sure you stay on task and on time. And you are right allot of times it is just a matter of being able to work through the nitty gritty of things.

Laura- I am a big fan of color coding to, I like to be able and look at something and know exactly who is to do what or what type of project that is via color.

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments!!

Although i have used airset in the past i still find zyb (http://zyb.com) a much more convenient and easier to use service compared to airset. Zyb's customer service is also quite good if u ask me. I had a problem uploading my text messages to zyb and they replied to me with a solution within 24 hours. I like it when free services provide extra ordinary customer service. I'm a zyb user for life!

Thanks for mentioning this tool.  Just today I was trying to set up a calendar with reminders for one of my clients.  This definitely looks like it will meet that need.
