Debe, Those townhouses are gorgeous! I LOVE all that light streaming in and a wonderful layout. I'm not at ALL surprised it's under contract--congratulations!
Jane: Yes, it was! Thankfully! The condo market is a bit depressed right now but, the buyers found my listing online and actually phoned me when I was in the hospital to see it!! I'm thankful that I didn't turn my phone off during that time--despite my hubby's pleas! LOL
Gary: Don't you just LOVE those words?! Needless to say, I'm thrilled!
Larry: You know my area very well! Yes, if you could see the Fourth Ward Uptown Charlotte revitalization, you just would NOT believe it! I remember in 1985, I was afraid to drive through the area for fear my car would breakdown!! Now, I want to LIVE up there! It's so vibrant, clean and convenient to everything.
Carole: Aren't they? I just love this complex--only 9 units that sold rather quickly and all have elevators that go from the garage to the 4th level terrace/bonus (stopping on each floor, of course)! I think I could have sold this thing 5 times over!
Hi Jane!I took a falla little over 2 months ago and have been through the mill ever since! I'm STILL in rehab and still have very little use of that arm back--however, I am making BIG progress! I've gone from not even being able to bend my elbow to touching my forehead, which is a MAJOR accomplishment! When you see me, you can't tell at all but, I'm still driving with a tri-pod--I can't extend that arm out to the steering wheel yet. I can now feed myself--which was also a major accomplishment--of course, it's my left and dominant arm! I have THE most awesome doctor and therapist in the world and they are very encouraging to me--I've learned patience, patience, patience during all of this!
AND, on a positive note--wasn't that amazing?! I got the call AND the sale! Whoop, whoop! ;-)
Debe, I too remember when you put up the townhomes...seems amazingly fast, yet you got great photos, wonderful write-ups, and people definitely had something for comparison--the way it used to be when, as you said, you were afraid to drive through there for fear your car might break down. You definitely know how to take a situation and turn it beautiful. Great job!
Congrats, it is always a trimuph when we are able to sell our listings especially in this market. I know that eventually having a number of listings will swing back to where they sell more often like they use to.
Katerina: Thanks! I started posting RealBird listings, pretty much exclusively, when they rolled out the Active Rain option and have been getting fantastic results! I rarely do a write-up and individual photos like I did before unless it's pertaining to a neighborhood post. I love, love, LOVE RealBird! OH, I made a comment on Fred's post that he took a shot on my birthday--8/27! This year, that day was a day that I don't want to remember either--the following day is when I had my surgery and I was in agony all day long!! BUT, funny thing, the day I put this listing in MLS, was the day that I had surgery--the last thing that I did before going over to the hospital was snap the photos that you see above!! Pretty cool, huh?!
Sherry: Thanks! Yep, it wasn't long ago at all--as a matter of fact, it was a bit delayed getting it up on AR because that's when I was doing everything 1-armed and it took me forever to get a post up!! Spreading the word about our vibrant Uptown area is a passion for me because I've seen it go from dud to dynamo during the last 25 years!
Jesse: Yes, I LOVE those words--especially when they're together!!
Gabe: Thanks! Same here! So far, so good--we're through inspections and have gotten the clear-to-close from the lender so, price was right on the money with the appraisal too!
Congrats on your townhouse....yahoo! And I am glad to hear that you are recovering from your fall...I have been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing! BTW...the real bird widgets are great...and of course, I owe a thanks to you for showing me how cool they are!
Debbie: Thanks! It is a fantastic townhome! And, meeting you was just as awesome as I thought it would be! You should read my post on the REBAR Camp recap!
Lori: Thanks! And, yes, I'm recovering slowly but, surely! I have a fabulous therapist but, the three days a week at rehab is killing me!! I need more hours in the day! As for RealBird--don't you just LOVE it! They've done a great job of revamping the site and their listing offering options are out of this world!
Jane: You asked!! LOL I am definitely on the mend--just wish I were near normal again--this has taken FAR too long!! (WAY too much time out of my weeks, that's for sure!)
