EVERYONE WANTS TO BE NOTICED...... d o y o u ?

Sometimes it takes up to an HOUR to compose a post....

Are YOU having trouble finding YOUR voice in
the blogging world?

Here is a typical situation:

You take as much as 45 minutes to an hour typing
away, finding pictures to illustrate your point(s)…..
structuring the post to be coherent and readable.

Then suddenly, you are finished..

Woohoo !!

You post the creation you worked SO HARD ON
to the network and wait…….

Not being recognized CAN take a toll on you...

In the ensuing days and weeks, you have almost
no-one come to see your hard work and creativity.

(You can see how many people “click” [Actually READ]
your posts on your statistics page, located on the bottom
left of your "HOME" page when you are logged in.)

What hurts even more, is when you are SURE you made a
GREAT post, just to garner no comments or worse than
that, no-one comes to even READ (click on) your creation.

Let’s be honest, everyone wants to be noticed. Besides,
if you were only posting in ActiveRain to get Localism
inclusion, you would not care, right? Market reports,
listings and local happenings are where Localisms
purpose shines ~~~~ that is what it’s all about and what
it was created for.

Let me state it again… very simply:

EVERYONE WANTS TO BE
NOTICED

Posting a blog you worked HARD on and being recognized for it by your peers makes you feel GREAT

Here are WAYS to make that happen. You will NOT:

Sniffle and choke back tears when your blog finds it’s
way into the Sahara dessert (or is that desert?) of
NO-WHERE-VILLE.
Loose heart and post less and less because no-one knows
you are around in the network..... *sniffle*
End up leaving ActiveRain and not come back, determined
to NEVER have something so embarrassing and hurtful
happen to you like this ever again...... *the long (OR SHORT) goodbye*
Be turned off blogging as a way to promote your real estate business. *walking into the sunset*

You will feel so GOOD, because you took the time to form meaningful relationships with your peers...

This is what WILL HAPPEN if you follow these simple rules:

You will LOVE to come into the network to log in
(visit “I Love ActiveRain Because”)
You will become an encouragement to others
(visit "ActiveRain Newbies")
You will find groups to join that “just happen” to be
YOUR MARKET NICHE…….(Visit the "GROUPS PAGE") and you will make friends that share your passion for what you do.
Your blogs WILL GET NOTICED and YOUR BLOGS STATS will improve.
You will GET BUSINESS as a result of your efforts.

These are some things you can do to make this all happen: Teamwork is what drives people to excel...... are you part of the solution in another AR members life??

1. Go BACK to the above list and TAKE MY HINT(S)
  Hehehehehe……….. *Cool, huh?*
2. Read and really observe how popular bloggers write….
  (People who get featured regularly)
  Follow the principles they use in their blogs to draw
  people into “the conversation of the blog” they have.
  A GOOD example is better than ALL the opinions you
  will ever see. *I can FEEL the excitement growing in
  you, Grasshopper*
3. Think about HOW YOU TALK when you are with
  friends and family. WRITE LIKE THAT !!!!!
  (BE YOU….. don’t try to be someone else)
  * A CARBON COPY is just that..... BORING!*
4. DO NOT just write about business….. Let people see
  your emotions, your passion and your heart. YOUR
  emotions are what DRAW others to you, NOT listings
  or market reports, how ever well they are written.
5. Let people see YOUR PERSPECTIVE on things in life.
  Again… people are drawn to you when you SHOW
  YOUR HEART. *Ripping open shirt ~~ pointing*
6. COMMENT in posts that you are intrigued, inspired, and
  moved in your being (soul, spirit, personality and intellect) about.
7. Get to KNOW people you are drawn to in the network:
  Commenting on their posts, e-mailing them and eventually
  talking to them via facebook IM (and other programs)
  or on the phone. *This takes TIME and EFFORT*
8. Let your friendships in ActiveRain encourage you, inspire
  you and empower your blogging.
9. WASH,RINSE --- REPEAT OFTEN… and ENJOY!!

Keeping your posts fresh by giving them new and interesting content is where it's at...

Hi Alexander! I KNOW you worked hard on this one! It's so true--keep plugging away and you WILL get noticed! Right now, folks are a bit busier than in recent months and the comments are down a bit but, that's when I post for my consumer. It's a balancing act, that's for sure!

Alexander, very impressive post! Great tips on how to get noticed. I was feeling a little down about not getting any comments on my last few blogs and maybe I'm being too serious.

Alexander, These are the secrets of blogging success. Well perhaps they're not actually secrets, just not always applied.

Carla............. Just click on the links in this blog and you will find help you can use..... there are links to other blogs that have links in them also.. it will be a domino effect if you start to click.....

Gary............. making friends with other AR members will help a LOT.....go and find some...start commenting.... it will come back to you, just like one stalk of grain yields MANY seeds.... eventually you can make bread!!

Steve............. well said.... not a LOT of people apply these concepts... they just think they can go to a "Burger King" in blogland and crank out quality posts time after time..... without TAKING the time.............. it just does NOT happen...

Excellent post and great points. We all do want to be noticed, but we have to remember to be noticed by different audiences. It's one thing to be noticed by AR people. It's a whole other thing to get noticed by the buying public!

Hi Alexander. Good points though I would add that I want to be noticed by the right people. Not just by anyone LOL It's quality over quantity for me.

You made a very good valuable point here:

Steve........... thanks for the complement.... I do know of people who will START a post and NOT finish it for days... they just SIT ON IT...... they save it in Word or in google docs.. when they are ready, they finish it and post it.....

I have seen blogs telling about it..... I have even had leads come to me because of just comments and disscussions I have had in posts..........

Getting featured seems to be a hot topic right now; you have certainly provided some wonderful highlights and tips to follow; thank you.

Congrats on the feature Alex, and you will get more exposure with that. I think you just have to write and let the features and attention fall into place as they will. Too many have that expectation, and then are let down when something "dumb" gets featured and their profound piece of work gets little comments. The key is to comment on others blogs so they know YOU!!
